Broken Bracelet is the debut independent album by american singer-songwriter Michelle Branch, published by the independent label Twin Dragon Records in 2000 .
The album was recorded over two weeks in April 2000 and was put on sale on June 1st, before its contract with Maverick Records in December of that same year. The story behind Broken Bracelet is strange and esoteric . When Michelle was 16 , he attended a concert by Lisa Loeb. Before the concert began his collaborator Steve Poltz gave him a bracelet he had given her his girlfriend and said . "When this bracelet is broken you do famous" A year later broke and Michelle put on sale its first album Broken Bracelet with which sold 1.9 million copies in the US.
Four of the eleven tracks on the album ("If Only She Knew", "Sweet Misery" , "I'd Rather Be in Love" and " Goodbye To You" ) were later re -recorded for inclusion on the album The Spirit Room (2001).
